The cleaning staff started pounding on people's doors at 9am asking if they were leaving. Checkout is 11.
I loved the location and the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and spacious.
What I did not like is there were NO trash cans located in the hotel lobby. Water bottles, candy wrappers, food etc was left on tables in the Lobby due to no garbage cans being available for trash! I looked all around the Lobby and No garbage cans where anywhere in site.
Excellent location and very helpful staff on arrival.
Pillows were a bit uncomfortable and there was a large damp stain in the corner of the room.
Parking should be included... 1st time I came to this hotel they staff said the parking was full made me walk to a parking garage at 2am to park my car, Really unnacceptable..
Staff friendly and tried to accommodate needs.
he air conditioner was inadequate to cool the room. An engineer examined the system, but concluded that the outside temperature was too hot for the ac to do the job.
Bathrooms small , pool area poor design bad service at pool not inviting at all
We liked the room
We didn't like the the room price and the fact that people from outside come in and use the pool..
Nothing stood out about this hotel
Heard lift noises all the time right throughout the day and night. Guests in other rooms had the same issue on other floors. There were no tables available for breakfast with a 15 minute wait (even though there were plenty of empty ones). No apologies or explanation we given. Not an offer to bring us a coffee while we waited so we went elsewhere. Internet was the slowest of any of the 7 hotels I stayed at on my trip.
The majority of the staff were polite and helpful (with the exception of one bartender, Faith, who was a bit arrogant.)
Check-in wasn't until 4pm (we got there around 3pm) so we hung by the pool and the front desk held our bags for us and gave us tickets to pick them up when the room was ready. When we went to claim our bags, they brought out the wrong ones so it seemed a bit unorganized. One night we got room service for dinner. The fries and nachos were soggy. The cheeseburger was just ok. Drinks at the hotel bar are overpriced. With the amount of money we paid to stay there, they should offer free breakfast. There a no fans in the bathroom so the room gets steamed up when showering and they only give you two towels. The elevators are loud and we could hear them from our room which was annoying when trying to sleep.
The hotel gave me a parking voucher to park at the bank next door because their lot was full the night I arrived. The next day I learned from their front desk when I inquired if I should move my car, that they towed the guest cars to their lot because the bank threatened to tow our cars. I have a new Mercedes and I am livid that they did not ask my permission and towed my car. If they had any business sense, they would have asked for the banks permission and then gotten guest name, licence plate. I will NEVER stay there again and will have my new car inspected. Shame on you Hilton Bayfront Staff!
The linens were amazing! If I could have brought some home for myself, I would have. I also enjoy that they provided a refrigerator… that is becoming more and more rare in hotel rooms.
The location was downtown, but it was about as far down town as you could be from where everything was located. Not a far Uber ride from anything, just not as centrally situated as I expected. My real issue was with the way the staff took care of our concerns. We were a group of four. When we ask for an extra pillow (one of our friends has a bad back), towels (since they only brought three), and coffee (since they only left 2) they rudely responded that they would bring them up and really just ignored that we had ever asked. We never received anything we asked for. My boyfriend and I ended up sharing a towel that night. The next day the cleaning staff skipped right over our room. When we asked for them to swing by later they said they would but never did. When we asked for extra towels - since we were DEFINITELY in need of some now - no one ever came with any. My boyfriend ended up going down to the front desk for towels and apparently got an attitude there too. It was as if they had already gotten their money from us and had no need to bother with treating us nicely any more. I can't say it was the worst experience I've ever had but I don't know if I'd go back or recommend it - not with so many other nice, comparably priced hotels nearby.
Clean Courteous staff Recent reno
Pricey rate Comparable to Vinoy
Rooms were comfortable and location was great
I paid about $700 for two rooms for one night and I thought it was over priced
We absolutely loved the room layout in the suite. The bed was super comfy and the staff was helpful and very friendly! I can't wait to come back to St. Pete and we will definitely be staying here when we do. Thank you!
Location was close to the heart of St Petersburg!
